American bakeries range from wholesale operations that supply restaurants to neighborhood shops that sell bread, pastries, cookies and cakes over the counter, and many of them also pour coffee. Bagel shops boil and bake on site and sell out of favorite flavors by late morning; donut shops open before dawn and are often family-run; patisseries and cake studios take custom orders for weddings and birthdays and usually need one to two weeks' notice. Ice cream parlors, gelato shops and frozen yogurt bars are seasonal in the northern states and year-round in the South and on the West Coast. Prices are posted per item, by the dozen or by the pound, and most shops now take cards and mobile payment.

Philadelphia is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Traffic in Philadelphia peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

This was my first time visiting Termini Bros. I’m Sicilian like the owners so I know my pastries. The town I come from is also close to a town called Termini Imerese, but that’s not where the family is from. I was sent here from my business partner. I grew up and lived in Brooklyn all my life where they’re are plenty of great pastry shops. The best one is in my neighborhood of Bensonhurst called Villabate Alba. I was convinced there could be no other place that would have better pastry than them. I arrived at Termini with high expectations. I ordered Cannolis and Sfogliatelle. They hit the mark and more. The cannoli cream was the best I have ever eaten. It was creamy and whipped to perfection and so was the cannoli shell crisp and perfect. The sfogliatelle also was the best I ever had. The outer shell was light and crunchy. It wasn’t sharp like some places where you cut the roof of Your mouth. The taste was phenomenal. Termini Bros delivered on every level, exactly why they been in business for over 100 years. This visit by far was the best cannoli and Sfogliatelle I ever eaten here in the United States. The staff were efficient and courteous. I definitely will be back. It’s worth

It was refreshing to find a place that freshly fills their cannolis! The shells tasted fresh and the cannoli filling was perfectly delicious! The young lady that took care of me was very attentive and kind.

Amazing Bakery in Philadelphia. Enjoyed being here during a weekend. It was a bit crowded but enjoyable. Food is amazing. They have large varieties of bakeris which you might not have seen this life. So different and worth a visit. People at the shop are very friendly and they want us to have a taste of their products.

What can I say? I love the Reding Terminal Market and This Termini Brothers is well-known and has been operating for more than 105 years, originating in South Philadelphia. The branch in Reading Terminal Market has been open since the 1980s. From my childhood memories, I recall visiting this place with friends to enjoy cannolis, which unfortunately I can no longer have as a vegan. While vegan cannolis are scarce to find, there are a few spots in South Philadelphia that do offer them, just not here - and that’s okay. Everything I have tried here in the past has been excellent, especially their Italian cookies. This is a perfect spot to pick up gifts for the holidays, that’s a certainty. Their biscotti is truly unmatched. A standout tradition at their South Philadelphia location is the Thanksgiving service where they cook people’s turkeys for them, a cherished practice that has been observed for many years in this wonderful family-owned business.

As first time visitors to Reading Terminal Market, a local friend suggested we do not leave without a Termini Bros pastry. The choice was tough with such a large selection so we bought three! Tiramisu, funfetti cake, and lemon. Not one complaint with what we bought. Each bite from first to last provided fresh and light sweet tooth satisfaction, making this trip to Philadelphia even more delightful. Termini Bros is now on our "must visit" list each time we're in town!
